Acellular dermal allograft may also serve as a graft.70 Although pedicled intranasal grafts may be used, they have been associated with a relatively high failure rate; as a result, free grafts seem preferable for most circumstances.71 In a meta-analysis of 289 CSF fistulae, Hegazy and colleagues72 found that the choice of the grafting material did not seem to alter the outcome of the repair.
